Revealed: Ashcroft, Tenet, Rumsfeld warned 9/11 Commission about ‘line’ it ’should not cross’

(RawStory) – Senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9/11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, according to a document recently obtained by the ACLU.

The notification came in a letter dated January 6, 2004, addressed by Attorney General John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and CIA Director George J. Tenet. The ACLU described it as a fax sent by David Addington, then-counsel to former vice president Dick Cheney.

Michael Rivero, webmaster van What Really Happened, waarschuwt al enige jaren voor, wat hij noemt, de "no-plane at the Pentagon-onzin", welke gebruikt zou kunnen worden om iedereen die vraagtekens zet bij de officiële 9/11-complottheorie ongeloofwaardig te maken.

Ik denk dat hij wel een punt heeft, al vind ik de no-planes in the WTC-discussie misschien nog wel ernstiger. Het zou me niet verbazen als de FBI opeens videoopnamen vrijgeeft waarop duidelijk iets, wat op een vliegtuig lijkt, neerstort op het Pentagon.
Aan de andere kant vind ik het motief voor de aanslag op het Pentagon nog belangrijker dan de vraag of er een vliegtuig, een raket, een onbemand vliegtuig of een explosief is gebruikt. Zéker gezien de actualiteit.

Hoe dit nieuwsfeit, en het onderzoek, begraven werd onder het puin van het Pentagon.

"Die gaat er van uit dat Osama bin Laden vanuit een grot in Afghanistan en in samenwerking met 19 jongelui er in slaagde de meest verraderlijke aanslag uit de geschiedenis van de mensheid uit te voeren. Dat lijkt mij wel heel straf. Maar de belangrijkste tegenspraak is hoe de luchtafweer van de grootste militaire macht op de planeet er niet in slaagde de aanslagen te voorkomen en dat op geen enkel moment gevechtsvliegtuigen zijn opgestegen of raketafweersystemen ontplooid".
