Israeli PM vows to "Wipe Iran off the Map"
Tel Aviv, Israel— Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert declared Tuesday that Iran is a "disgraceful blot" that should be "wiped off the map" and banished from the pages of time.
Olmert's speech to participants at a "World without Islam" conference set a hard-line foreign policy course that continues the saber-rattling of his predecessor, Ariel Sharon.
Olmert pledged to continue on in the hallowed tradition of the Stern Gang who set siege to the Palestinian city of Acre in 1948, going so far as to poison the town's drinking water to kill off the inhabitants.
"The world should know, thundered Olmert, that Israel will take any steps necessary to bring about our goals, including invoking the Sampson Option."

Een video waarop nieuwe beelden van Osama bin Laden te zien zouden zijn, bevat geen openlijke dreigementen of oproepen om aanslagen te plegen. Dat zeggen Amerikaanse deskundigen, die de beelden hebben bestudeerd.

A6 paar uur dicht voor rampenoefening
SWIFTERBANT - De A6 tussen de Ketelbrug bij Swifterbant en Lelystad-Noord wordt woensdag in beide richtingen afgesloten voor een grote rampenoefening. Dat zei een woordvoerster van de Hulpverleningsdienst Flevoland (HVDF) donderdag.

"EU moet meer optreden tegen terreur"
wo 05/09/07 - EU-commissaris voor Justitie Franco Frattini wil dat Europa meer veiligheidsmaatregelen treft tegen het terrorisme. Hij noemt de Amerikaanse maatregelen een voorbeeld.
"Volgens alle bronnen blijft het risico groot op een aanslag in een van de Europese lidstaten", zei Frattini. Hij noemde onder meer Spanje, Italië, België, Groot-Brittannië en Duitsland als mogelijke doelwitten. [...]
De plannen van Frattini krijgen al een tijdje kritiek omdat sommige politici vinden dat de privacy van de burgers geschonden dreigt te worden.

The goings on behind the ISI’s nondescript headquarters, located behind high walls on Khayban-e-Suharwady avenue in the heart of the capital Islamabad and its operational offices in the adjoining garrison town of Rawalpindi, have dominated Pakistan’s domestic, nuclear and foreign policies – especially those relating to Afghanistan – for over two decades.
The ISI chief, Lt Gen Mahmood Ahmed, who was visiting Washington when New York and the Pentagon were attacked, agreed to share desperately needed information about the Taliban with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other US security officials. The CIA has well-established links with the ISI, having trained it in the 1980s to ‘run’ Afghan mujahideen (holy Muslim warriors), Islamic fundamentalists from Pakistan as well as Arab volunteers by providing them with arms and logistic support to evict the Soviet occupation of Kabul.
The ISI is presently the ‘eyes and ears’ of the US-led covert action to seize Bin Laden from the Taliban, since hundreds of its agents and their Pathan ‘assets’ continue to operate across Afghanistan. Its influence with the Taliban can be gauged from the inclusion of Gen Ahmed in the Pakistani military and diplomatic delegation to the militia’s religious capital, Kandhar, in southern Afghanistan in an attempt to defuse the looming military crisis. The Pakistani delegation appealed to the Taliban, albeit in vain, to hand over Bin Laden to the US, which holds him responsible for the 11 September attacks on the World Trade Center and Washington in which nearly 7000 people are feared to have died.[...]

These included Mir Aimal Kansi, who assassinated two CIA officers outside their office in Langley, Virginia, in 1993, Ramzi Yousef and his accomplices involved in the New York World Trade Center bombing five years later as well as a host of powerful international narcotics smugglers.

Cindy Sheehan waarschuwt voor false flag aanslag en politiestaat
De fameuze vredesactiviste Cindy Sheehan, onlangs nog te gast in Amsterdam tijdens de Top van Onderop, in de aanloop naar de G8, trekt weer flink van leer. Zo sluit ze een nieuwe false flag-aanslag (9/11-stijl) niet uit, en waarschuwt voor een eventuele politiestaat als gevolg daarvan:
"I definitely think that is a distinct possibility, that there will be some kind of attack whether it's manufactured or real....I think it's really possible that these people will do that - why would he [Bush] put in that presidential directive if he didn't need to use it - I think it's really really frightening," Sheehan told The Alex Jones Show.
"Does anybody think that [Bush's] recent presidential decision directive wasn't for declaring martial law and suspending elections - that's why they have to be stopped," added Sheehan.

Aug. 27, 2007 - Al Qaeda has an active plot to hit the West. The United States knows about it but doesn’t have enough tactical detail to issue a precise warning or raise the threat level, says Vice Admiral (ret.) John Scott Redd, who heads the government’s National Counterterrorism Center.
In an interview at his headquarters near Washington, D.C., Redd told Newsweek’s Mark Hosenball and Jeffrey Bartholet that the country is better prepared than ever to counter such threats. But he also believes another successful terror attack on the U.S. homeland is inevitable.
