Iranian Jews slam emigrant stunt

(CNN) -- -- The well-publicized landing of 40 Iranian Jews in Israel on Tuesday spurred glee among some Israelis and the immigrants themselves and drew public scorn from a surprising quarter in Iran -- two officials from its centuries-old Jewish community. [..]

But the account of the mass immigration was vehemently disputed among Jewish officials in Tehran who defend Jewish life there.

The man representing Iranian Jews in Iran's parliament on Wednesday disputed the notion of an organized immigration of Iranian Jews to Israel, saying he would have known about such a development.

Iranian MP Morris Motamed told CNN that he and Ciamak Morehsadegh, the director of the Tehran Jewish Community, had issued a statement condemning the spread of false news about an evangelical organization facilitating the immigration of 40 Iranian Jews to Israel.

Iranian Jews can travel anywhere they want, anytime they want, but like other Iranians they are not allowed to go to Israel, Motamed said.

Om aan landbouw te doen is er water nodig. En dat is er niet in de Palestijnse gebieden. Of beter: dat is er niet meer. Sinds de Israëlische waterwet van 1959 heeft Israël de controle over al het water van de streek. Een kleine vergelijking: een Israëli gebruikt per jaar evenveel water als vier Palestijnen. 90 % van de Palestijnse boeren is aangewezen op regenwater om hun akkers te irrigeren en een eigen waterbron aanboren is voor Palestijnen verboden. Het drinkwater in de Palestijnse gebieden wordt steeds schaarser. Voor Israël is de controle over het water cruciaal om de Palestijnse ontwikkeling te vertragen en te verstoren en om de afhankelijkheid van Palestina te vergroten.

En het is niet alleen voor water dat de Palestijnen afhangen van hun bezetters. Ook de toelevering van gas, electriciteit, petroleum en basisvoedsel gebeurt door Israël. Bovendien wordt het overgrote deel van de Palestijnse landbouwproducten geëxporteerd naar Israël, dat een erg lage prijs biedt voor de goederen.

De ontwikkeling van de Palestijnse samenleving gaat door dit alles niet vooruit, maar achteruit.

POLITICS-US: Peace Group Barred From Florida Schools

TAMPA, Florida, Dec 4 (IPS) - Public school districts in two Florida counties are refusing to allow members of a peace organisation to counter the presence of military recruiters by talking with high school students about options other than joining the service, according to a spokesperson for the group.

"They (the Manatee and Sarasota County School Districts) are saying that we can't go on their campuses because we aren't offering any sort of information on post-secondary opportunities," said Don Thompson, co-chairman of the Coalition of Concerned Patriots (CCP), a Florida-based peace group. "But that's an excuse because we tell the students that the Job Corps and the Peace Corps are possible opportunities for jobs."

"Some of the military recruiters (who visit students on high school campuses) aren't telling the truth about the ways of the military. We don't question the existence of the military; we question the duplicity of military recruiters," Thompson, a retired United Methodist minister, told IPS.

Under President George W. Bush's "No Child Left Behind" law, signed in 2002, public high schools must give military recruiters access to students, including their names, addresses and telephone numbers.

Parents and students can "opt out" of this requirement by filling out a form, but many are apparently unaware that they have the right to do so.

LA Times haalt fors uit naar "corrupt" CNN

Terwijl 96% van de Amerikanen nauwelijks interesse heeft in de immigratie"problematiek", maakte CNN er een sleutelonderwerp van in het CNN/YouTube-debat.

Door werkelijk belangrijke zaken, zoals de Irak-oorlog, naar de achtergrond te verdrijven, speelde de zender een dubieuze, corrupte rol in het politieke debat, in de aanloop naar de Amerikaanse presidentsverkiezingen. Dit stelt politiek commentator Tim Rutten, in de LA Times.

Corruption is a strong word. But consider these facts: The gimmick behind Wednesday's debate was that the questions would be selected from those that ordinary Americans submitted to the video sharing Internet website YouTube, which is owned by Google. According to CNN, its staff culled through 5,000 submissions to select the handful that were put to the candidates. That process essentially puts the lie to the vox populi aura the association with YouTube was meant to create. When producers exercise that level of selectivity, the questions -- whoever initially formulated and recorded them -- actually are theirs.

That's where things begin to get troubling, because CNN chose to devote the first 35 minutes of this critical debate to a single issue -- immigration. Now, if that leaves you scratching your head, it's probably because you're included in the 96% of Americans who do not think immigration is the most important issue confronting this country. We've got a pretty good fix concerning what's on the American mind right now, because the nonpartisan and highly reliable Pew Center has been regularly polling people since January on the issues that matter most to them. In fact, the center's most recent survey was conducted in the days leading up to Wednesday's debate.

Last night CNN en Español aired the above image, which captions at the bottom "Who Killed him?" by "accident". The image of President Chavez with the caption about killing him below, which some could say subliminally incites to assassination, was a "production error" mistakenly made in the CNN en Español newsroom. The news anchor had been narrarating a story about the situation between Colombia and Venezuela and then switched to a story about an unsolved homicide but - oops - someone forgot to change the screen image and President Chavez was left with the killing statement below. Today they apologized and admitted it was a rather "unfortunate" and "regrettable" mistake. Yes, it was.

On a scarier note, an internal CIA memorandum has been obtained by Venezuelan counterintelligence from the US Embassy in Caracas that reveals a very sinister - almost fantastical, were it not true - plan to destabilize Venezuela during the coming days. The plan, titled "OPERATION PLIERS" was authored by CIA Officer Michael Middleton Steere and was addressed to CIA Director General Michael Hayden in Washington. Steere is stationed at the US Embassy in Caracas under the guise of a Regional Affairs Officer.

Geen bewijs voor Iraanse kernwapens gevonden door IAEA

In tegenstelling tot wat Westerse media en andere propaganda uitingen willen doen geloven, is Iran niet bezig met het maken van kernwapens. Het IAEA-rapport is uit en is heel erg duidelijk. De IAEA is de zogenaamde atoomwaakhond.

De IAEA is niet tevreden dat Iran toch doorgaat met het maken van nucleaire brandstof (waar geen wapens van kunnen worden gemaakt) maar verder tevreden over dat wat ze hebben aangetroffen. Er is geen (GEEN) bewijs gevonden dat Iran uranium verrijkt voor wapendoeleinden. Iran werkt volledig (passief maar voldoende) mee aan de inspecties ook de onaangekondige inspectie konden hun doorgang vinden. Er worden geen inconsistenties gevonden tussen verklaringen van het regime en de daadwerkelijke bevindingen van de IAEA.

Politie dwingt activiste tot opgeven van encryptiesleutel

Een Engelse dierenactiviste is door politie gedwongen haar encryptiesleutel prijs te geven, bij weigering kan ze tot een gevangenisstraf van twee jaar worden veroordeeld. Zou de nationale veiligheid in geding zijn, dan zou de vrouw een celstraf van vijf jaar tegemoet kunnen zien. Het is een van de eerste keren dat de politie een verdachte om zijn of haar encryptiesleutels vraagt.

UN nuclear watchdog has no evidence Syria had nuclear facility

The International Atomic Energy Agency - the United Nations nuclear watchdog - has not been able to conduct an investigation into the events surrounding the Sept. 6 Israeli bombing of a Syrian military installation because neither the Bush administration nor Israel are cooperating.

A diplomatic source close to the Vienna based IAEA told Raw Story that both the United States and Israel have been approached by the organization requesting supporting evidence of a nuclear reactor which media sources have cited, based on anonymous sources in both governments, as the reason for the Israeli strike.

Flashback: Lijken in kast bij Woningbeheer

Het begon allemaal anderhalf jaar geleden. De gemeente wilde het bedrijf Woningbeheer afstoten. Woningbeheer is een woningbedrijf in handen van de gemeente Den Haag. Het heeft 2.300 woningen en bedrijfspanden in bezit en heeft als doel de stadsvernieuwing vorm te geven. De gemeente wilde van het vastgoedmanagement af, en hoopte aan de verkoop van het bedrijf zo'n 100 miljoen euro over te houden.

Maar in november van dat jaar onthulde de Haagsche Courant dat Woningbeheer nogal wat huizen verkocht aan vastgoedhandelaar Victor 't Hooft, die zeer goede contacten had met de leiding van Woningbeheer. 't Hooft verdiende goed aan de doorverkoop van die huizen. De gemeenteraad eiste een onderzoek naar de banden tussen de vastgoedhandelaar en het bedrijf, en berispte Hilhorst voor de gang van zaken.

If a soldier, marine, airman, or sailor were even to be issued a rifle and rifle magazine — weaponry of a far lesser significance, danger, and cost — there is a strict signing and accountability process that involves a chain of command and paperwork. This is part of the set of military checks and balances used by all the services within the U.S. Armed Forces.

Military servicemen qualified to speak on the subject will confirm that there is a stringent nuclear weapons handling procedure. There is a rigorous, almost inflexible, chain of command in regards to the handling of nuclear weapons and not just any soldier, sailor, airman, or marine is allowed to handle nuclear weapons. Only servicemen specialized in specific handling and loading procedures, are perm certified to handle, access and load nuclear warheads.

Every service personnel that moves or even touches these weapons must sign a tracking paper and has total accountability for their movement. There is good reason for the paperwork behind moving these weapons. The military officers that order the movement of nuclear weapons, including base commanders, must also fill out paper forms.

In other words, unauthorized removal of nuclear weapons would be virtually impossible to accomplish unless the chain of command were bypassed, involving, in this case, the deliberate tampering of the paperwork and tracking procedures.

The strategic bombers that carried the nuclear weapons also could not fly with their loaded nuclear weaponry without the authorization of senior military officials and the base commander. The go-ahead authorization of senior military officials must be transmitted to the servicemen that upload the nuclear weapons. Without this authorization no flights can take place.

After the Iowa Caucus, when Dean let out a whoop, and a videographer with a mike on Dean over amplified the sound, the three second clip was shown thousands of times to mock Dean-- at a time when he was in a position to win the election-- something none of the major networks or mainstream media wanted. Dean had threatened to re-regulate the de-regulated media, forcing them to dis-own radio and TV stations where they had a monopoly, or just too much control of the media in a given metro area.

Does World War III Loom Large?

After receiving chemotherapy at the European Hospital in Gaza , physicians found that his intestines were blocked and that he required emergency surgery in Israel . While at the hospital, Abu Taha was intravenously fed a vitamin solution. The hospital had a shortage of the solution because of the siege on Gaza and was forced to drop Abu Taha's feeding from four to two portions of the solution a day. As a result, he lost an appreciable amount of weight.

There is something deeply disturbing about the Air Force’s official report on the Aug-29-30 “bent spear” incident that saw six nuclear warheads get mounted on six Advanced Cruise Missiles and improperly removed from a nuclear weapons storage bunker at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, then get improperly loaded on a B-52, and then get improperly flown to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana—a report that attributed the whole thing to a “mistake.”

According to the Air Force report, some Air Force personnel mounted the warheads on the missiles (which are obsolete and slated for destruction), and another ground crew, allegedly not aware that the missiles were armed with nukes, moved them out and mounted them on a launch pylon on the B-52’s wing for a flight to Barksdale and eventual dismantling. Only on the ground at Barksdale did ground crew personnel spot the nukes according to the report. (Six other missiles with dummy warheads were mounted on a pylon on the other wing of the plane.)

Fresh doubts were raised over the suicide of Dr David Kelly after it emerged that no fingerprints were found on the knife he supposedly used to kill himself.

At its birth, it was an idealistic movement. It laid great weight on its moral basis. Not just in order to convince the world, but above all in order to set its own conscience at rest.

From early childhood we learned about the pioneers, many of them sons and daughters of well-to-do and well-educated families, who left behind a comfortable life in Europe in order to start a new life in a far-away and - by the standards of the time - primitive country. Here, in a savage climate they were not used to, often hungry and sick, they performed bone-breaking physical labor under a brutal sun.

French media told an Iran attack is planned for October 15th, for what one should need a (false flag) attack from the Iranians first.

Military sources and quality media have clearly stated that the goverment thinking is nuclear bunker busters.

Six nukes recently flew illegally/'erronomously' over the USA armed on a B52 bomber and where 'missing' for a day or so, at Barksdalke AFB (the station for Middel East). One of the six was even missing longer, as initial reports only encountered 5 atomic boms. Some theorise the 6th double missing USA nuke was meant for a false flag attack.
